World's tallest Novotel lights up Canary Wharf with Bright Goods LED filament lampsPosted on 20 Aug 16:08 Read more

Designer LED filament brand, Bright Goods announces its installation of energy efficient, vintage style LED lamps into Novotel’s new flagship hotel at Canary Wharf, London. The LED filament lighting was specified as part of the AccorHotel Group’s PLANET21 sustainability programme to increase its energy efficiency and environmental performance.

Bright Goods LED filament lamps were selected to accentuate the colours, textiles and intricate craftsmanship that flows throughout the hotel.  The LED filament lamps are installed in the hotel’s top-priced executive suites and also used throughout the meeting rooms.  They provide beautiful controlled illumination that can be dimmed to create exactly the right atmosphere at any time of the day or night.

The iconic, 39 storey Novotel which opened in February 2017 features 313 bedrooms, nine individually themed meeting rooms and a contemporary restaurant, bar and roof terrace with stunning 360 degree panoramic views over the capital. With its industrial-chic décor, the hotel’s unique interior pays tribute to the Dockland’s proud maritime history with each space designed to create a different feel and ambience.  The 26 individually designed executive suites for example are elegant in design and exude luxury, with floor to ceiling windows giving some of the best views of the city.  The installation of Bright Goods LED filament lamps grouped together in pendant fittings enhance the overall ambience in each suite.  The meeting rooms are awash with innovative design touches inspired by the history of the docks and each one named after the commodities that were brought in from the Canary Islands.

Louisa Daxer-Robbins, Operations Manager at Novotel London Canary Wharf, commented, “Bright Goods LED filament lamps are aesthetically beautiful and have helped to achieve the coveted ambience we were looking for, complementing the bespoke design of each individual area within the hotel.  Furthermore, they offer an impressive energy saving of up to 75% which fulfils our criteria for sustainability.”

Commenting, Saima Shafi, Sales and Marketing Director, Bright Goods said, “Our LED filament lamps are designed to provide a timeless vintage feel and were the perfect choice to complement the unique interior design at Novotel London.  All lamps in the Bright Goods range are dimmable and provide a high-performance lifespan of 30,000, around ten times that of a conventional filament bulb.”

Fuller's Three Guineas pub goes vintage with Bright Goods LED LightingPosted on 18 Jun 09:23 Read more

Leading LED filament brand, Bright Goods announces the installation of decorative, antique-style LED lamps into The Three Guineas, a Victorian Fuller’s owned pub within Reading train station. An array of hand-crafted LED filament lamps from the Bright Goods range were chosen to complement the newly refurbished pub, enhancing the many traditional features of the Grade II-listed station building and showcasing the contemporary interior.

Built in 1840, initially as the central railway ticket office, The Three Guineas has recently undergone a major facelift, keeping the traditional railway theme but given a contemporary twist.  The previously unused basement has been opened up to create the Firefly room, an authentic and striking vaulted cellar which has been stripped back to expose the original brick-built arches.  The main bar and kitchen areas have been remodelled to provide an open display kitchen and quaint bistro tables adorn the outside terrace.  The pub is illuminated throughout with an impressive array of Bright Goods LED filament lamps that are housed in rustic reclaimed pendant lights, industrial brass cluster fittings and glass crystal chandeliers to evoke a welcoming and mood enhancing environment.

“The lighting is the standout feature in each room” said Jayden Kopsala, Assistant Manager at The Three Guineas. “It attracts a lot of interest from our customers and has helped create the atmosphere we want here.  We envisaged a contemporary look with a classic feel to the pub and the lighting has helped make this a reality, making the perfect environment for all of our customers.”

On behalf of Fuller’s, The Light Corporation was commissioned to survey all its managed estate of over 200 pubs, and recommended that low energy Bright Goods LED lamps were specified for each pub.

Peter Turner, Property Director at Fuller’s added: “We were very impressed with the appearance of Bright Goods LED lights. They provide illumination that is as warm and welcoming as a filament bulb, maintaining the all-important ambience of the pub in the evening. It is also highly controllable, and can be dimmed as required. It allows us to maintain a traditional feel while reducing our carbon footprint.”

Known for his appearance on Four Rooms since 2011, Jeff has been a favourite amongst the other dealers (Celia Sawyer, Gordon Watson, Raj Bisram, Andrew Lamberty) showing his expertise in the arts and the extraordinary.

Since the age of 18, Jeff has had an eye for antiques, leading on to his first job at Sotheby's and then setting up his own art-deco business, aged 24. Jeff's specialises in mid-20th Century design and owns two of the largest 20th Century furniture and design galleries in London.

We took our filament LED light bulbs to show Jeff, complete with steam punk holders, and he was so impressed with them that he told us that he will have them for his galleries and his lovely new home! We are thrilled that Jeff loved our lamps and we are really looking forward to working with him.

Michelin-Starred Chef Illuminates Ormer Mayfair with LED Filament LampsPosted on 4 Apr 10:46 Read more

Specialist LED filament brand, Bright Goods announces the installation of vintage-style LED filament lamps at Ormer Mayfair, the highly acclaimed restaurant by Michelin-starred chef, Shaun Rankin, his first in London. A range of hand-crafted LED filament lamps from the Bright Goods range adorns the restaurant, bar area and private dining rooms creating mood enhancing illumination that complements the stunning Art Deco interior.

Shaun Rankin launched Ormer Mayfair within the luxury boutique hotel, Flemings Mayfair, one of the oldest family-owned hotels in London, following the success of his restaurant in Jersey.  Bright Goods LED filament bulbs are integral to the Art Deco, 1930’s inspired interior designed by Tully Filmer.  They evoke a traditional British ambience alongside details such as aged oak wood panelling and bold geometric marble flooring.  The 85-cover contemporary restaurant follows Rankin’s Jersey theme offering seasonal Jersey produce including fresh lobster, crab, oysters and foraged herbs.

The lighting was key to creating the right atmosphere for this prestigious restaurant.  Bright Goods LED filament lamps, including Harry, chrome tipped GLS, Elizabeth clear candles, Josephine GLS, (featuring a crown shaped LED filament) and Emma Pygmy lamps in 2.2K very warm colour temperatures, were chosen to complement the design aesthetics of the inspired interior.  The new LED filament lamps are helping to create a warm, cosy glow to the restaurant.

Henrik Muehle, General Manager at Flemings Mayfair said, “We are very impressed with the warm appearance of the lamps and as they are fully dimmable, we are able to create an intimate and relaxed dining experience for our guests.” He continued, “We wanted to create a classic, glamourous look to the interior and the lighting has definitely helped us achieve this.”

Saima Shafi, Marketing Director, Bright Goods added, “Bright Goods LED filament lamps are designed to replicate traditional bulbs, providing a classic, timeless feel with a touch of the modern, complementing the design and atmosphere they have created at Ormer.”
